How to use the Member Area
The Member Area is in the center of your WinReducerOS experience, because it brings you a lot of functionalities and possibilities to share, participate or help the WinReducer Project and all WinReducerOS Users.

Let's describe all Member Area functionalities to help you understand how to use it !
PART 1 : The Profile Page
==> Your Personal Member Area Profile Page
1 - The Profile Banner : You can easily modify the default banner picture to adapt it to your taste or wish.
==> The new banner is also visible in the Members List page.
2 - The Avatar : You can easily change your avatar to change the default avatar picture to adapt to your taste or wish.
==> This is an interesting option because you can be identified more easily by other users
3 - The Member Username : This displays the member username you defined, as well as your member badge(s)
4 - The Profile Editor : If you click on this button, you are able to add or modify your member name, as well as your banner picture and your avatar.
5 - The Profile Option : You can define if you want your profile to be public or private.
6 - The Profile Information : This shows some statistics about your activity as a WinReducerOS member.
7 - The Description Area : You are able to write something about you, to tell who you are, what you like or anything you want to share with all other members.
==> YOUR TEXT MUST BE IN ENGLISH, to be understand by everyone ... but you are also able to add a translation at the end of your English description. This has been done by some members.
==> You can also add photos or videos to your personal description using the dedicated buttons.
8 - The Member Badges : This simply displays all badges. All badges can be obtain as :
* member of the WinReducerOS Teams
* member of the Forum
==> This helps other members to easily identify you
9 - The View All Members : If you click on this button you are redirected to the entire list of member registered in WinReducerOS.
==> If you want more information about this member list, please have a look to Part 6.
10 - The Member Help : If you click on this button, you are redirected here on this page to get all explanation about your Member Area.
11 - The Members Chat : If you click on this button, this displays the chat interface to discuss privately with other members.
==> If you want more information about this member list, please have a look to Part 7.
==> Other Member Area Profile Page
12 - The Message Option : You can send directly a message to this user using the Members Chat.
==> If you want more information about this member list, please have a look to Part 7.
13 - The Follow Option : You have the possibility follow or unfollow this member activity : following a member means that you are notified, by a forum notification and by email, in case this member creates a new discussion or reply in another discussion.
==> you are able to disable the email notification in your personal Member Area, to get more information about this option please have a look at Part 5.
14 - The Member Options : you can use this option to report a member which do not respect the Forum Rules (insult, too aggressive, spam, ...). All reports will be processed with a great attention, and the Forum Rules will be strictly applied.
PART 2 : The Followers Page
==> Your Personal Member Area Followers Page
1 - The Followers List : It displays all members you are following.
==> "Following" a member means that you are notified, by a forum notification and by email, in case this member creates a new discussion or replies to an already created discussion.
==> you are able to disable the email notification in your personal Member Area, to get more information about this option :
2 - The Followers Option : It helps you easily manage your followers list, if you want to remove them from your followers list and stop following them.
==> if you want to search for a particular member in order to add him/her to your followers list, you just need to go to the members list, you can find more information in Part 6.
==> Other Member Area Followers Page
3 - The Followers List : This is the followers list of this member.
4 - The Followers Option : This helps you add this member to your own followers list.
PART 3 : The Account Page
1 - The Login Email : This displays the email you are using to connect to your personal member area.
==> this email can't be changed after the registration so you must choose it wisely
2 - The Community Page URL : It shows you the website link to your own member page.
==> this link is public so only your read only public pages (Profile, Followers,...) are accessible to other members when they go to your community page.
==> if you want to customize the default community page displayed name after registration, you simply need to use the text field which is below your community page link.
3 - The Identity Option : This lets you the possibility to add your First Name and Last Name if you want to.
==> this option is optional.
==> you can use your member username as First Name, like I did in the screenshot.
4 - The Contact Email : This brings you the possibility to add a dedicated contact email which is different from your login email, you used for your registration.
5 - The Update Info button : This button validates all changes you made in your account page. You must use this button in order to update your account page otherwise all changes will be cancelled and not visible by other members
PART 4 : The Notifications Page
All notifications you received from :
- followed members activity
- followed forum categories
- followed forum discussions
- received message from members chat
==> a new notification can be identified by a blue small circle icon at the end of the notification line. This brings you the possibility to easily check which notifications you need to review.
==> if you want to consult the content of the notifications, you just need to click on the new notification and you will be automatically redirected to it (forum, members chat, ...).
==> if you are connected to your member area, you can see in all pages of the website, the notification icon beside your member name option menu which displays a notifications counter if there are new notifications. So, if you click on this icon, you are automatically redirected to your notifications page.
PART 5 : The Settings Page
In this Settings page, you are able to disable or enable all available notifications by email.
==> by default, each time you have a new notification you receive :
- a notification in your Notifications page
- a notification in your member notification icon
- a notification by email
==> if you want to disable the notification email just disable all options, or some of them, according to your needs.
All email notifications options are :
- Likes : you are notified if a member like your posts or discussions
- Comments : your are notified if a member reply to the discussions you created
- Follows : you are notified if there are updates about members or posts you follow
- General : you are notified when there are new activity
- Chat Messages : you are notified when a member try to contact you using the members chat and you are not connected to your member area
PART 6 : All Members List
1 - All Members Option : This brings you the possibility to easily select which members you want to select :
- Members
- Administrator
- Moderators
2 - The Sort By Option : You are able to sort the entire list of members according to your needs :
- default view
- number of followers
- newest to oldest
- oldest to newest
- number of forum posts
3 - The Display Option : You are able to modify how the member list is displayed :
- grid view
- list view
4 - The Member Search Box : You can search for a specific member by entering the member username in the text field.
==> just write the name of the member
==> the number, at the end of the search box, is the number of registered members
5 - Your Member Card Option : If you click on the 3 dots button, it displays a menu with the option to change the status of your profile.
==> you can define if you want your profile to be public or private.
6 - Other Member Card Option : If you click on the 3 dots button, it displays a menu with the option to report a member 's behavior which do not respect the Forum Rules (insult, too aggressive, spam, ...).
==> all reports will be processed with an extreme attention, and the Forum Rules will be strictly applied.
7 - Your Member Card Profile : You are able to directly access to your own Member Profile:
- using the avatar icon
- using the My Profile button
==> you are able to directly access to other member profile page by clicking on the member avatar icon.
8 - Other Member Card Following Option : This icon shows that you are already following this member.
==> the icon can be slightly different if you are not following this member.
